About the role

Artificial Labs Ltd is building next‑generation technology for the specialty insurance market. As a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer you will combine deep programming expertise with industry knowledge to deliver custom technical solutions that help brokers and carriers make faster, smarter decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse prospective partners’ and clients’ business requirements and translate them into robust solutions using the domain‑specific functional language Brossa.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, setting clear objectives and providing regular feedback.
• Design, configure and deliver formal specifications for insurance products across multiple lines such as marine, aviation and political violence.
• Act as a trusted technical partner to clients, shaping solutions that align with their strategic goals.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering and commercial teams to customise the platform for each client.
• Own proof‑of‑value and pilot projects that are critical to the company’s growth strategy.

Required profile

• Strong programming background with the ability to understand and solve complex technical problems.
• Deep familiarity with the insurance or insurtech domain.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering client‑facing solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Brossa functional programming language.
• Software engineering best practices.
