Lead HR Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Lead HR Business Partner to join our Plymouth office on a 6‑month contract. This hybrid role (three days onsite) will operate at both tactical and strategic levels, driving people strategies that align with our client’s People Strategy and sector programme.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver people strategies that support organisational success.
• Lead the delivery of the HR agenda, including change management and performance improvement initiatives.
• Act as the HR representative in cross‑functional forums, influencing senior stakeholders.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute workforce planning and capability development.
• Support managers in planning and executing change initiatives across the portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement through progressive HR practices and initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant HR experience within large or complex organisations.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic HR initiatives and influencing senior leaders.
• Ability to lead and support organisational change and performance improvement.
• Commercial awareness with a pragmatic, business‑focused approach.
• Degree or Level 7 HR qualification (or equivalent experience); CIPD membership preferred.
