Lead SEO & GEO Copywriter

About the role

We are looking for a Lead SEO & GEO Copywriter to become the go‑to expert on search and generative‑engine optimisation within our copy team. You will combine hands‑on content creation with strategic guidance, ensuring every piece of copy meets the highest standards of search visibility and brand quality.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality, search‑optimised copy for landing pages, articles, and other digital formats, targeting traditional SERPs and AI‑generated snippets.
• Act as the internal SEO and GEO authority, answering team questions on keyword usage, search intent, metadata, and emerging trends.
• Integrate Claude or equivalent AI tools throughout the workflow—from briefing and drafting to optimisation and final quality control.
• Review and mentor peers, providing constructive feedback on SEO and GEO compliance.
• Balance optimisation with readability, preserving brand voice and genuine reader value.
• Stay up‑to‑date with algorithm updates, SERP feature changes, and AI‑driven content discovery.
• Build strong relationships with existing client teams, identifying opportunities to enhance content performance.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of how search engines and AI‑driven discovery platforms work.
• Strong editorial instinct and ability to produce well‑structured, engaging copy.
• Experience explaining E‑E‑A‑T signals and SEO concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude toward knowledge sharing and team training.
