Learning and Development Assistant – Vocational Learning (Assessor)

About the role

The Learning and Development Assistant – Vocational Learning (Assessor) will be based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. This permanent, full‑time position works 36 hours per week and supports the delivery of vocational qualifications for NHS staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on vocational qualifications to line and service managers.
• Conduct workplace assessments and support candidates undertaking SVQ/MAs in Business & Administration and Learning & Development at SCQF Levels 6 and 7.
• Collaborate with the Learning and Development Advisor – Vocational Learning to ensure high‑quality learning support.
• Work closely with the Business Support Manager to meet operational needs of training and education centres.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful environment.
