Learning Support Assistant – Eastleigh

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in schools across the Eastleigh area. You will support teaching and learning within the classroom, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and assist with small‑group learning activities
• Support pupils during lessons, classroom activities, and school routines
• Help pupils remain focused, engaged, and confident in their learning
• Assist teachers with classroom preparation and learning resources
• Encourage positive behaviour and learning habits
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people
• Patient, supportive, and approachable manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable and responsive to different pupil needs
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Backgrounds in childcare, youth work, coaching, or education welcomed
• Graduates looking to gain school experience encouraged to apply
