Lecturer in Business Management (Finance Specialist)

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Business Management with a finance specialism to join the London College of Contemporary Arts from September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver applied, practice‑led teaching to Level 4 and Level 5 undergraduate students, helping them build financial literacy and analytical capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver finance‑focused modules such as Introduction to Economics, Financial Statements, Business Finance, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Quantitative Methods.
• Employ blended and experiential teaching methods, including occasional evening sessions.
• Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
• Offer academic and pastoral support to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and subject‑area research or professional practice.

Required profile

• Degree and postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum two years of higher‑education teaching experience.
• Strong assessment literacy and feedback practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Desirable: PhD, HEA Fellowship, industry or consultancy experience.

Required skills

• Subject expertise in accounting and finance.
• Ability to use digital tools and generative AI ethically in teaching.
• Experience supporting student entrepreneurial projects.
