Legal Secretary – Occupiers & Public Liability

About the role

Express Solicitors is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Occupiers' and Public Liability team in Sharston, Manchester. The role offers the chance to provide high‑quality administrative support within a leading personal injury law firm that values client care and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage legal correspondence, pleadings, and court bundles.
• Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with a professional manner.
• Schedule appointments, arrange meetings and coordinate conferences for lawyers and clients.
• Assist with photocopying, scanning and filing, supporting the transition to a paper‑less environment.
• Collaborate with a pool of legal secretaries to support multiple lawyers.
• Update case information in the Proclaim case management system where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a personal injury or public liability setting.
• Excellent written English with strong spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Outstanding client care skills and a courteous telephone manner.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
• High level of IT literacy and confidence using modern office systems.
