Level 3 Nursery Assistant – Flexible Shifts in Chester

About the role

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Nursery Assistant to join a vibrant early years setting in Chester. You will work alongside room leaders to create engaging learning experiences and support children’s development throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with room leaders to design and set up innovative, EYFS‑aligned learning activities.
• Work with children one‑to‑one or in small groups to support their early learning journey.
• Apply your knowledge of the EYFS curriculum to guide children safely and track progress.
• Supervise and encourage children during meals, snack times and outdoor play.

Required profile

• Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Early Years, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in an early years or nursery setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child safeguarding practices.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
