Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 1 (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a supportive primary school in Manchester for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the Key Stage 1 team from September 2026. The role involves supporting Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, delivering targeted interventions and working closely with teachers to enhance learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms.
• Deliver targeted reading, phonics, writing and maths interventions.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support where required.
• Assist in preparing engaging learning resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent UK primary school experience (within the last 2 years).
• Strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
• Experience delivering intervention programmes.
• Confident supporting pupils of varying abilities.
• Positive, organised and proactive approach.

Required skills

• Curriculum knowledge for Key Stage 1.
• Ability to deliver reading, phonics, writing and maths interventions.
