Litigation Solicitor (Employment Law)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Litigation Solicitor with a focus on Employment Law to join a busy, award‑winning team in Manchester. You will manage Employment Tribunal cases from initial claim review through to advocacy, providing high‑quality legal advice and commercial support to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review tribunal claims and draft comprehensive responses.
• Handle document disclosure, prepare trial bundles and ensure proper formatting for hearings.
• Provide detailed merits and risk assessments to clients.
• Conduct conciliation and settlement negotiations in line with client instructions.
• Maintain regular communication with tribunals, claimants' representatives and clients.
• Draft applications, responses and witness statements, and identify and prepare witnesses.
• Perform preliminary advocacy by telephone, digitally, or in person.
• Supervise and support trainees or junior team members as required.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with recent litigation experience in employment law.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver high‑standard client service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in advocacy.
• Ability to manage a caseload in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.
