M&A Tax Director – Midlands Tax Team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&A Tax Director to join a leading accountancy firm’s Midlands Tax Team. Based in Birmingham, you will work closely with corporate finance colleagues and a diverse client base on merger and acquisition transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise SME clients on due diligence, share transactions, modelling and structuring from both buy‑side and sell‑side perspectives.
• Lead, manage and coach members of the tax team throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the firm’s Corporate Finance team to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships across the UK, Nordics and USA.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in an M&A corporate tax role.
• ACA or CTA qualification.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex transactions.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
