Management Consultant – Public Sector Business Case

About the role

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Management Consultant to support government clients in developing and reviewing business cases for major digital and strategic transformation programmes in the UK public sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation of business cases using the HM Treasury “5 case model” and Green Book guidance.
• Quantify and describe benefits, conduct financial and economic analysis, and shape delivery options.
• Advise clients on existing business cases and recommend next steps.
• Contribute to business development activities such as proposals, RFPs, bids and client pitches.
• Participate in internal initiatives including campaign development, thought‑leadership papers and practice development.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting programmes and projects in the UK public sector.
• Background in business case development, review or assurance, either within a consultancy or as a civil servant.
• Established relationships across government organisations.
• Comfortable working in technology‑focused environments.
