About the role

The Legists is seeking a senior Media & Entertainment lawyer to join its national practice. The role offers a platform to shape a specialist practice, raise your profile in the creative industries, and work alongside a team that advises producers, actors, studios, influencers and other entertainment businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of media and entertainment clients across film, TV, music, digital content and related sectors.
• Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts, licensing agreements, production agreements and financing documents.
• Provide advice on intellectual property, regulatory compliance, employment matters and dispute resolution.
• Lead business development initiatives to expand the practice and attract new clients.
• Collaborate with other practice groups to deliver integrated legal solutions.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in media and entertainment law.
• Proven track record of advising high‑profile clients and managing complex transactions.
• Commercially minded with strong business development skills.
• Able to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative national team.

Required skills

• Expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property, licensing and production agreements.
• Experience handling regulatory, employment and dispute matters within the entertainment sector.
