Mid-Level Business Analyst (Hybrid) – Manchester

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious mid‑level Business Analyst to join a fast‑growing organisation that is reshaping service delivery for hundreds of thousands of customers. Working in an agile, cross‑functional squad environment, you will have direct visibility with senior decision‑makers and will see the impact of your solutions from idea to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Own business problems and translate them into practical, deliverable solutions.
• Collaborate with operational teams, senior stakeholders, Project Managers and Developers.
• Run focused workshops to capture challenges, define requirements and set priorities.
• Break complex requirements into clear user stories and manageable work items.
• Help squads define minimum viable solutions for rapid delivery and iterative improvement.
• Support projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, including test plan creation, QA activities and guiding business users through UAT.
• Assist with implementation, adoption, and creation of user guides and training materials.
• Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Challenge existing ways of working and propose ideas for automation and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a fast‑moving, growing organisation.
• Proactive mindset with confidence to take responsibility for outcomes.
• Strong requirements‑gathering, workshop facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Hands‑on experience supporting testing, QA and business UAT.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and the BA’s role within it.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical colleagues.
• Comfort managing multiple priorities without rigid processes.
• Collaborative style with a constructive approach to challenging ideas.
• Motivation to continue developing as the delivery function expands.
