About the role

We are supporting a well‑established medium‑sized accountancy firm in Birmingham that is looking for a motivated Mixed Tax Senior/Semi‑Senior. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients while delivering high‑quality compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review corporation tax and self‑assessment returns, including group structures.
• Provide advice across a broad range of corporate and personal tax matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships.
• Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and handle communications.
• Review junior team members’ work and support their development.
• Plan workloads, meet deadlines and maintain service standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with tax legislation and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns within an accountancy practice.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
