Mobile Vehicle Technician – Bishop's Stortford

About the role

Join the RAC SMR division as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, delivering planned servicing and repairs directly to members at their homes or workplaces across Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Perform in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop, including vehicle safety checks.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Use of digital scheduling and service platforms.
