Modern Foreign Languages Teacher (Full‑time/Contract)

About the role
As a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher you will deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing in a foreign language, while deepening their understanding of international cultures.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality language lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach one or more languages such as French, Spanish or German, according to your specialism.
- Develop students’ fluency, grammar and cultural awareness.
- Assess, track and report on student progress and prepare them for GCSE language qualifications.
- Encourage communication and participation in the target language.
- Contribute to enrichment activities such as language clubs or trips abroad.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject (desirable but not required).
- Strong fluency in at least one taught language.
- Passion for language learning and cultural education.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life.
