Multi-trade Operative (Field Based)

About the role

We are seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Multi‑trade Operative to join our Empty Homes (Voids) team in the West of England. You will work independently across a local patch, delivering a range of repairs and refurbishments to bring void properties back to a high‑standard for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑skilled repairs and refurbishment works in void properties, including carpentry, plumbing and plastering tasks.
• Ensure homes are safe, high‑quality and ready for new customers.
• Work autonomously across a designated field‑based area while collaborating with the wider team.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle as required.
• Complete necessary paperwork and report progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing and plastering.
• Strong commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the local area.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and schedules.
