National Business Development Manager – PPE & Workwear

About the role

PHS Besafe is seeking an ambitious National Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK. You will focus on winning high‑value contracts in sectors such as rail, transport, utilities, automotive, petrochemical, aggregates and emergency services, delivering tailored PPE and workwear solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new national accounts and major contracts worth £50,000+ per annum.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through prospecting, networking and market mapping.
• Present Besafe’s technical workwear, PPE and garment laundering solutions to senior decision‑makers.
• Support tender submissions, negotiate commercial agreements and ensure accurate quote management in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Operations, Depot Managers, Customer Support and Warehouse teams to guarantee contract deliverability.
• Oversee contract onboarding, including SLAs, documentation and handovers.
• Provide sales forecasting, pipeline reporting and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Proven track record in new business development, major account acquisition or strategic sales.
• Strong technical knowledge of workwear, PPE, garment standards and compliance.
• Understanding of industrial laundry services and operational delivery.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Basic salary £43,000‑£48,000 plus OTE up to £69,000 (uncapped).
