Optometrist – Part‑time (4 days) – London

About the role

Vision Express is seeking a qualified optometrist to join its flagship Oxford Street store on a part‑time basis (four days a week). You will work in a modern, fully equipped test suite, delivering high‑quality eye examinations and personalised eye‑care advice to a diverse retail clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refractions and contact‑lens fittings.
• Interpret diagnostic results and prescribe appropriate optical solutions.
• Advise patients on eye‑health, lens options and frame selections.
• Maintain and operate the latest optical testing equipment.
• Collaborate with the store team to achieve sales and service targets.
• Ensure a clean, welcoming environment in the test rooms.

Required profile

• Qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council.
• Experience working in a retail or high‑traffic optometry setting.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in eye‑examination techniques and refraction.
• Competence with modern optical diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of contact‑lens fitting and lens prescription.
