Paediatric Night Nurse – TPN Care (Part‑time)

About the role
Join a dedicated Community Care team in Manchester as a Paediatric Nurse providing critical overnight care for a child receiving Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). The role is part‑time, covering two Saturday night shifts per month (7 pm – 7 am), and is ideal for nurses passionate about paediatric health.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver specialised nursing care to a child on TPN during assigned night shifts.
- Monitor the child’s condition continuously, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Administer prescribed medications and TPN, observing for adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records of all interventions.
- Communicate effectively with the child’s family, providing updates and reassurance.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge of paediatric care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage time efficiently.
Required skills
- Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) administration.
