Part-time PPA Teacher

About the role

The successful Part‑Time PPA Teacher will work every Monday and Tuesday, covering classes across Key Stage 2 while class teachers are released for their PPA time. This provides a consistent two‑day‑a‑week schedule in a welcoming primary school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2, following the school’s existing schemes of work.
• Implement the lesson plans prepared by class teachers, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of different classes and individual pupils.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students.
• Support pupils’ progress across a broad range of subjects during the PPA cover period.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the wider school team to ensure seamless coverage.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with proven experience teaching across Key Stage 2.
• Confident in managing different classes and adapting to varied classroom dynamics.
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic attitude towards part‑time teaching.
• Availability to work every Monday and Tuesday.
