Part‑time Tutor for Primary & Secondary Students

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic tutors to join our team in Dorchester. You will deliver engaging lessons to primary and secondary pupils, supporting them in English, Maths and possibly Science. The role is part‑time and temporary, offering flexible hours.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging sessions that meet student needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Record student progress and attendance weekly.
- Maintain a supportive, empathetic and patient attitude.
- Stay organised, dependable and creative in lesson delivery.
- Adapt calmly and fairly to diverse classroom situations.
Required profile
- Nurturing and caring nature with strong patience.
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
- Organised and comfortable supporting both primary and secondary pupils.
- Experience working with learners who have SEN/SEMH needs.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in UK schools.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; focus is on teaching and pastoral care.
