Payment Platform Manager – Stripe

About the role

Digital Science is seeking a Payment Platform Manager to own its B2C payments ecosystem, primarily Stripe, along with Recurly and PayPal. The role acts as the internal product owner for payment processing, driving optimisation, conversion improvements, risk management and vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as product owner for Stripe, Recurly and PayPal, maintaining SOPs for configuration and change management.
• Monitor and improve checkout authorisation rates and overall payment conversion.
• Lead rollout of alternative payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, UPI and Pix.
• Own retry, dunning logic and foreign‑exchange strategy for cross‑border payments.
• Manage dispute, chargeback and fraud tooling (e.g., Stripe Radar, 3D Secure) while balancing conversion.
• Maintain PCI‑DSS compliance and resolve conversion drop‑offs.
• Develop commercial relationships with Stripe and other vendors, including contract and pricing negotiations.
• Provide payment analytics and reporting to finance and B2C leadership.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in payment operations, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Deep expertise with Stripe (Billing, Radar, Sigma) and familiarity with Recurly and PayPal.
• Data‑driven mindset with proficiency in SQL and BI/analytics tools.
• Strong communication skills to translate payment performance into commercial narratives.
