Payroll Clerk

About the role

Mitchell Adam is looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join its expanding finance team. This role offers the chance to work in a forward‑thinking organisation that values employee development and provides a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Check and process payroll data and maintain employee payroll records.
• Resolve payroll queries and prepare payroll reports.
• Reconcile payroll with HMRC records and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Assist with year‑end activities, including preparation of P11Ds.
• Support payroll audits and other compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Previous payroll experience in a busy payroll or finance environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence working with high volumes of data and identifying discrepancies.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (data management, manipulation and analysis).
