PDA‑Specialist KS2 Tutor (Part‑time, In‑person)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced KS2 tutor to work in‑person with a pupil in Buckinghamshire. The role focuses on supporting a child with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile and other neurodiverse learning needs, starting in September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, interest‑led lessons tailored to the pupil’s individual requirements.
- Build a trusting relationship to encourage participation and progress.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to suit the pupil’s learning style.
- Implement a PDA‑informed approach to reduce anxiety and support learning.
- Monitor progress, provide regular feedback and maintain accurate session records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience tutoring KS2 pupils.
- Training or experience working with children who have a PDA profile.
- Strong understanding of neurodiversity and child‑centred learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
