People & Performance Manager – 12‑month Maternity Cover

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People & Performance Manager to join Tangerine for a 12‑month maternity cover. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and offers a hands‑on, high‑impact opportunity to keep the People function moving with clarity, pace and care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the People & Performance function, ensuring continuity and accountability during the maternity cover period.
• Lead delivery of the People & Performance roadmap, turning strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
• Act as a trusted partner to leaders and managers, offering expert guidance on employee relations, organisational challenges and people‑related decision making.
• Oversee complex employee relations cases, managing risk and ensuring compliance with employment law and company values.
• Maintain People governance, policies and compliance activities, keeping frameworks effective and legally sound.
• Ensure smooth operation of People systems, reporting and data management, using metrics to support business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a People or HR manager, preferably within a fast‑moving agency environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide operational leadership and drive continuity during temporary assignments.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of partnering with senior leaders.
