Personal Banker – Customer‑Focused Sales Role

About the role

Quantum Group is seeking a motivated Personal Banker to join its Birmingham branch. You will play a key part in delivering first‑class customer care, driving sales targets, and building lasting relationships with both existing and new clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities through referrals, internal networks and personal contacts.
• Provide superior customer service via phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions, handling queries and complaints promptly.
• Cross‑sell banking products and services, maintaining regular contact with clients.
• Support business development initiatives by attending sales events.
• Process new account applications, including NRI and postal services, and prepare AML risk documentation.
• Manage cash operations, remittances, and cheque dispatches while ensuring compliance.
• Cover alternate Personal Banker duties and provide clerical support as needed.

Required profile

• Strong networking and sales abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Retail sales experience with a customer‑centric mindset.
• Ability to build credibility and rapport with clients.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML procedures and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with account opening processes and postal service handling.
• Cash handling and remittance processing competence.
