About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our mixed community school in Newham, East London. You will deliver engaging PE lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting fitness, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities.
- Promote student participation, wellbeing and a positive attitude to physical health.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education.
- Ability to lead and manage sports activities safely.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.

What we offer
- Salary paid to scale, dependent on full‑time experience (£40,317 – £62,496 per year).
- Working hours 08:20 – 16:00 with early finish on Fridays.
- Temporary to permanent contract (13‑week fixed‑term leading to permanent).
