Platform / DevOps Engineer

About the role

EC Markets is seeking a hands‑on Platform / DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its infrastructure‑as‑code practice. You will work on a fast‑moving UK‑based trading platform, building reliable, automated pipelines that keep the production environment stable and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain Terraform code for AWS and Snowflake, ensuring a single source of truth.
• Develop and improve AWS CDK (TypeScript) stacks alongside existing Terraform.
• Create a clean separation between development and production environments with a repeatable promotion path.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, OIDC, and container builds to ECR.
• Automate secret management, state locking, drift detection, and safe‑apply guardrails.
• Manage core AWS services (VPC, ECS Fargate, DMS, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager, EventBridge) as code.
• Implement observability with CloudWatch alarms, dashboards, SNS alerts, and automated recovery.
• Configure Snowflake as code, including Snowpipe ingestion, role‑based access, SSO (Entra ID), and data masking.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Terraform in multi‑provider environments.
• Hands‑on expertise in AWS networking, containers, IAM, and serverless services.
• Proven ability to build end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Experience managing Snowflake infrastructure and data pipelines.
