PR Specialist – Global Communications

About the role

eBay is seeking a PR Specialist to join its global communications team, focusing on eBay Live, Fashion, Collectables and consumer‑to‑consumer (C2C) selling. Based in Richmond, London, you will work closely with local and global partners across PR, marketing, brand and business units, collaborating with colleagues in the UK, US, Germany, France and Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive eBay’s consumer narrative and value proposition across Live, Fashion, Collectables and C2C marketplaces.
• Develop and execute integrated PR strategies and campaigns that generate earned media and increase marketplace consideration.
• Partner with marketing and business‑unit teams to provide strategic counsel and collaboration.
• Work closely with the consumer PR team, vertical leads, corporate and internal communications teams.
• Manage global agency partners on milestone campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with key press covering Live, Fashion, Collectables, lifestyle and related areas.

Required profile

• Proven PR track record, preferably with both in‑house and agency experience.
• Strong interest and knowledge of Live selling, Fashion, Collectables or C2C marketplaces.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and across multiple time zones.
• Skill in connecting business initiatives to news angles and industry trends.
• Experience delivering successful PR strategies and creative campaigns aligned with business goals.
• Demonstrated success in pitching and placing proactive media stories and handling press inquiries.
