Professional Support Lawyer – Commercial Contracts & Data Protection

About the role

This position sits at the intersection of legal expertise, technology and client delivery, acting as the knowledge engine for a commercial law practice. You will help the firm capture, develop and share legal knowledge to improve service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Identify key cases and legal developments, answer fee‑earner queries, prepare consultation responses and advise on AI tool usage.
• Curate precedents, practice notes and working practices; develop new precedents and procedures; contribute to intranet and knowledge systems.
• Identify training needs, deliver sessions to lawyers and support staff, mentor fee earners on content production, and produce client‑facing briefings, articles and newsletters.
• Represent the firm at external events, contribute to bids and tenders, and help organise client training.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Experience in commercial contracts and data protection is preferred.
