Project Engineer - Energy Storage Solutions

About the Role

Join a global leader in long-duration energy storage and play a pivotal role in shaping a cleaner, safer, and more efficient energy future. As a Project Engineer, you will be a key member of our Projects team, supporting the Project Director in delivering large-scale energy projects from conception to commissioning.

Main Missions

• Support the Project Director in overall project management, including interface and risk management.
• Lead and deliver specific project domains based on your technical expertise.
• Coordinate between multiple internal disciplines and manage various subcontractors.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Manage the full project lifecycle: from FEED, planning, and cost estimation to detailed design, commissioning, and final handover.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and manage change requests effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Engineering degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional site visits to Hunterston.
