Property Damage Solicitor – Legal Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Property Damage Solicitor to join our Birmingham team as a Legal Director. This senior position offers the chance to manage complex insurance‑related disputes while shaping the future direction of our practice.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a varied caseload of property damage matters, overseeing each stage of the claims process.
• Deliver high‑quality client service, ensuring efficient progress within agreed timescales.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental objectives and manage overall caseloads.
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurer clients, brokers, experts and other stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, supervision and development opportunities for junior lawyers.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team effectiveness.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of five years post‑qualification experience in property damage litigation.
• Proven track record handling third‑party property damage claims, subrogated recoveries, product liability disputes and policy coverage matters.
• Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance law and litigation practice.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a collaborative team.
