Real Estate Dispute Resolution Associate (2-5 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join a leading national law firm’s Real Estate Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham. The role offers immediate responsibility, working on a diverse portfolio of contentious property matters from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on landlord‑tenant issues including lease renewals, dilapidations and forfeiture.
• Handle disputes arising from development projects such as rights of light, restrictive covenants and boundary matters.
• Manage possession proceedings, trespass claims and property insolvency enforcement.
• Prepare court documentation – statements of case, witness statements and counsel instructions.
• Attend hearings, mediations and client meetings, and run matters independently with appropriate supervision.
• Support senior lawyers on complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution cases.
• Contribute to marketing, profile‑raising and business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience in property litigation.
• Strong technical knowledge of real‑estate disputes and experience in County Court and First‑tier Tribunal proceedings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively.
