Receptionist / Guest Service Agent – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

Join one of Birmingham’s most iconic hotels as a Receptionist / Guest Service Agent. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm welcome and ensuring a memorable stay from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a professional, friendly welcome to every guest, creating a positive first impression.
• Check guests in and out efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Answer guest enquiries, offer recommendations about the hotel and local area, and resolve requests with empathy and attention to detail.
• Build genuine relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.

Required profile

• Previous customer‑service experience, preferably in hospitality or a guest‑facing role.
• Friendly, professional and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to stay calm and organised while handling multiple guest requests.
• Good IT proficiency and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Opera PMS (experience advantageous but not essential).
