Recruitment Consultant – Education Sector (Birmingham)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Recruitment Consultant to join our education‑focused team in Birmingham. You will source, recruit and place teachers, teaching assistants, school leaders and support staff across primary, secondary and SEN schools. The role involves managing both client and candidate relationships to ensure high‑quality placements.

Key responsibilities

• Source and attract top talent in the education sector, including teachers, teaching assistants, school leadership and support staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and educational institutions.
• Conduct interviews, reference checks and skills assessments for candidates.
• Provide expert advice and support to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Meet and exceed recruitment targets and KPIs.
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, developing long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless recruitment operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in recruitment, sales or a customer‑facing role (experience in education is a plus).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for the education sector and a drive to make a positive impact.
• Results‑oriented with a strong work ethic.
