Recycling Site Operative – Customer Service Role

About the role

Join LondonEnergy’s Barrowell Green Recycling Centre in Enfield as a Recycling Site Operative. You will be the first point of contact for the public, providing friendly advice and ensuring waste is correctly sorted and deposited.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of customer service in line with company standards.
• Assist visitors safely, oversee sorting and proper disposal of waste and recycling.
• Advise on correct segregation of materials into appropriate containers.
• Monitor and direct traffic movements within the facility.
• Carry out general site duties, including housekeeping of grounds, buildings and staff facilities.
• Operate the site according to current policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible approach, willing to learn other site roles and undergo training.
• Available to work shift patterns, including some weekends.
• Previous customer‑facing experience desirable.
• Health and safety awareness.
