Regional Sales Manager – Industrial Automation

About the role

Our client, a global leader in industrial automation, IIoT and connectivity, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the West Midlands. The role is field‑based with home‑based flexibility, requiring regular customer visits and travel within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
• Plan and execute a structured programme of customer visits across the territory.
• Generate and follow up quotations, proposals, contracts and commercial agreements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to drive sales growth.
• Provide after‑sales support and manage customer enquiries.
• Support product demonstrations, trials, installations and technical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and activity reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide market feedback for product development and pricing.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, customer events and industry forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years successful sales experience in industrial automation, IIoT, connectivity or related technical sectors.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage key accounts.
• Strong relationship‑building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a field‑based environment.
• Highly organised with excellent planning and time‑management abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
