Reservations Consultant – Travel Sales

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Reservations Consultant to join our independent tour operator in South Birmingham. You will work with trade partners and travel agents, creating bespoke long‑haul itineraries and delivering a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Handle phone enquiries from travel agents and trade partners.
• Design and quote worldwide long‑haul holiday packages.
• Convert quotations into confirmed bookings.
• Promote ancillary products such as car hire, excursions, park passes and parking.
• Meet monthly sales targets and maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge.
• Support the Reservations Service Team by quality‑checking bookings, re‑booking and ensuring accuracy.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or Reservations Agent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Sales‑driven with excellent knowledge of long‑haul destinations.
• Experience using a GDS system (Amadeus or Galileo).
