Residential Litigation Solicitor – Property Law

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor with at least three years post‑qualification experience to join our specialist Residential Litigation and Leasehold Disputes team in Birmingham. The practice works nationally across the property sector, representing freeholders, managing agents, property managers and leaseholders in complex disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage debt recovery matters across small claims, fast‑track and multi‑track proceedings.
• Handle breach of lease claims in County Court and tribunal forums.
• Conduct forfeiture and possession proceedings.
• Oversee lease extension and lease variation matters.
• Prepare and manage First‑tier Tribunal applications.
• Perform detailed lease analysis and interpretation.
• Enforce judgments and devise recovery strategies.
• Process appointment of manager applications.
• Advise on major works consultation procedures, Section 20B notices, lease variations, structural issues, and repair obligations.
• Support the pre‑litigation team with technical queries.
• Mentor and assist trainees and junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE in property litigation or leasehold disputes.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and enforcement procedures.
• Experience with long‑leasehold landlord and tenant legislation.
• Confident handling of tribunal and court processes.
• Excellent organisational and client communication skills.
