Sales Assistant – Customer Service & Trade Counter

About the role

Join Wolseley’s Plumb Centre in Plymouth as a Sales Assistant, where you’ll be the first point of contact for trade customers. You’ll help them find the right products, provide quotations and contribute to a welcoming, efficient branch environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter, understanding their needs and offering product recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver accurate quotations promptly via phone or email.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Assist across the branch to ensure smooth daily operations, including occasional Saturday shifts.

Required profile

• Proven face‑to‑face sales and customer service experience.
• Team‑player attitude willing to support all areas of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive, enthusiastic approach.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
