Sales Engineer (Process / Chemical / Environmental)

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a background in process, chemical or environmental industries to join a specialist manufacturer of air‑pollution and odour‑control solutions. The role involves developing competitive commercial bids for utility and chemical processing clients across the UK, with a clear progression path towards senior or managerial positions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end bid management, ensuring technical compliance, accurate pricing and commercial terms.
• Prepare and write detailed proposals and technical quotations.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to obtain costings and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external technical resources to identify solutions and source components.
• Support the estimating and proposals team with document compliance and bid writing.

Required profile

• Technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience in chemical, engineering, environmental or industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Proven experience selling technical products, engineered solutions or process equipment to industrial markets.
• Commercially aware with strong cost‑analysis and negotiation skills.
