About the role

Aspire People Limited is recruiting qualified Science Teachers (QTS) for supply assignments across secondary schools in Manchester. The role offers daily, short‑term or long‑term placements, allowing you to gain experience in different school environments while maintaining flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Science lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Adapt quickly to varying school policies and classroom settings.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and safety.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and school leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcome.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Passion for inspiring young people in Science.
• References covering the last two years.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new DBS.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum.
• Effective lesson planning and delivery techniques.
• Ability to assess and track student progress.
