SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Croydon Primary Schools

About the role

We are looking for compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in mainstream primary schools across Croydon. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support and help children thrive in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one tailored support for an assigned pupil.
• Assist with learning, emotional regulation and social development for children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other SEND needs.
• Implement EHCP targets and support plans alongside teachers and SENCOs.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual requirements.
• Promote a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable).
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream primary setting.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
• Availability Monday‑Friday (part‑time roles still require weekday presence).
