SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School

About the role
We are partnering with an inclusive primary school in Manchester to find a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND.
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and communication difficulties.
- Deliver targeted interventions to aid learning and development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum confidently.
Required profile
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) working in a UK primary school.
- Demonstrated experience supporting children with SEND.
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for inclusive education.
