Senior Arts & History Tour Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Arts & History Tour Designer to create and manage bespoke cultural tours across Europe. The role combines creative itinerary design with hands‑on logistics, requiring strong administrative and communication abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and cost fully‑fledged art‑focused tours.
• Source and negotiate with European suppliers such as hotels and restaurants.
• Collaborate with ground agents and local guides to ensure seamless delivery.
• Pitch tours to US clients, prepare client‑facing documentation and manage tour finances.
• Handle client enquiries via phone and email, process booking forms and pre‑tour paperwork.
• Book flights using Galileo or a comparable system and oversee daily logistics.
• Ensure the welfare of tour parties, addressing issues from lost baggage to medical emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years’ experience organising special‑interest tours to Europe.
• Background in Art History or a strong personal interest in gardens and cultural heritage.
• Fluent in English with working knowledge of at least one European language.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Required skills

• Galileo flight booking system (or similar).

• Salary of £40,000 per year.
