Senior Associate – Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Complex Injury Claims Team. The solicitor will support a Lead Lawyer on catastrophic injury matters exceeding £1 million and manage a personal caseload of high‑value multi‑track personal injury claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex multi‑track injury claims, typically up to £1 million.
• Assist on catastrophic injury claims where damages exceed £1 million.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, indemnity and quantum.
• Draft key legal documents, including defences and counter‑schedules.
• Analyse complex medical and liability evidence.
• Collaborate with clients, counsel and medical experts.
• Attend mediations, joint settlement meetings, client meetings and site visits.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience handling defendant personal injury claims.
• Proven track record managing multi‑track or higher‑value claims (minimum £500 k).
• Strong understanding of litigation practice and the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Excellent analytical and organisational abilities.
• Desirable: experience in group litigation or claims against the police.
