Senior Associate – Treasury Settlement

About the role

The Senior Associate – Treasury Settlement will support the back‑office functions of the Treasury and Investment department at the SBI London branch. You will ensure daily settlement activities are performed accurately, on time, and in line with the bank’s guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Verify SWIFT confirmations and deal tickets, and record deals in the blotter system.
• Generate daily Finacle Nostro reports and maintain the settlements diary in Excel.
• Update incoming and outgoing fund movements, advise dealers on GBP, USD and EUR positions, and facilitate placements and borrowing.
• Retrieve GBP main‑account balances, produce end‑of‑day statements, and post entries to Core.
• Transfer funds between Nostro accounts to maintain required balances.
• Maintain floating‑rate loan records, including bilateral and MTN instruments.
• Prepare forward‑deal instructions for dealers and issue SWIFT messages each evening.
• Provide next‑day position reports for major currencies and project balance reports for the CEO.
• Produce daily blotters, file paperwork, and dispatch documents to the warehouse.
• Generate MT320/MT300 reports from Core and send tracers for missing SWIFT confirmations.
• Calculate initial and variation margin, process margin payments and receipts.
• Create brokerage reports from Finacle, process broker payments after approval, and compile regular financial reports.
• Support MIFID compliance, monitor AM/VM, and handle related payments.
• In the Investment wing, create counterparties in Finacle, manage purchase/sale transactions, and maintain the investment book, including coupon payments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in treasury back‑office or settlement operations.
• Strong understanding of SWIFT messaging and Finacle treasury systems.
• Ability to work accurately under tight daily deadlines.
