Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer you will own the systems behind Capsa AI’s platform that powers the investment processes of leading private‑equity firms. You will design and build backend services such as agentic workflows, document ingestion and search at scale, streaming execution, and the APIs and data models that drive the product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate end‑to‑end backend systems, making critical architecture decisions.
• Take features from ideation through production, measure their impact, and maintain them in operation.
• Build and scale core components like agent harnesses, code execution frameworks, OCR pipelines, and domain‑aware search clusters.

Required profile

• 5+ years building production backend systems at a venture‑backed startup or top tech firm, owning services end‑to‑end.
• Proven track record delivering distributed systems, data pipelines, or platform services at scale.
• Deep curiosity about the domain and a focus on delivering value to users.
• Thrives in fast‑moving environments and can operate at high pace.
